My first goal is to graduate high school and go to either UK or IU for cheerleading or gymnastics on a full ride! I want to be able to go to one of these schools and not be distracted from everything that goes on in college and get the best grade I can possibly get!
My next goal is to graduate college with all A’s and a major in Kinesiology. I want to be able to get a great job with the roll of a physical therapist and help whoever is in need and make them stronger!
My last goal is to travel around the world and visit as many countries as possible and meet a bunch of new people!
If the electricity went out for good and never came back on it would definitely change my life style. I would not be on my phone as much as I am, I would be able to actually get a goods night sleep because I wouldn’t have to distract me all night (even though i cant sleep one), and I personally think life would just be a lot more fun in terms of actually going outside and making up our own fun little games to play. But don’t get me wrong, there would be negative effects too. Some of them would be not bring able to cook food fast and efficient and you wouldn’t hear about things going on around the world as fast as you could. If I needed to relax without any electricity, that wold not be a problem for me, I would jut go onto a hammock to lay out and read the entire day unless it was cold obviously. If it was cold outside or there was snow on the ground I would either go outside and play in it, or go inside with a nice cup of hot chocolate and read a good book or play board games.
If my family got stranded on a deserted island with just our clothes we would get very bored very fast. We would most likely try to make fake little sports from what we could find in the water and what we could find on the island. A sport we could make could be bowling. We could take coconuts and roll them into something to take the roll as the bowling pins. Or we could play soccer with the coconuts. We could just kick the coconuts around and try to get them past one another. Thats what my family would try to do if we got stranded on a deserted island with just or clothes.
MONOPOLY The history of the game Monopoly can be tracked back to the early 20th Century. The earliest version of Monopoly was first patented in 1904 but existed as early as 1902. Henry George created this game to illustrate the economic consequences of Ricardo,s Law of Economic rent and the Georgist concepts of economic privilege and land vale taxation. Monopoly was created in the Midwestern United States and the East Coast.
THE GAME OF LIFE The Game of Life was first invented in 1860 by Milton Bradley. Milton created the game of life because he wanted an educational game to teach kids how life used to be, including slavery and immigration. The Game of Life was created in Springfield, Massachusetts.
For Spring Break 2016 I went to Fort Myers, Florida with my friend Ian and his family. Being in Fort Myers for spring break was really fun and I can not wait to go back. The condo we stayed in was beautiful and the pool with it was just as amazing. The beach was probably the prettiest beach I have ever seen. The sand was bright white and the water was mainly clear and I could see everything beneath me! The only thing I wish we could have done was go to the beach more often. We went to the pool a lot more than we went to the beach. But over all it was an amazing trip and I would go back in a heartbeat.
Have you ever wondered if your family could be putting an ecosystem in danger because of letting your pet go wild? Well families all over the US are. Families have been buying Burmese Pythons for pets then letting them go into the wild when they are to big. But that is a problem because it is putting other animals, people, and the ecosystem in danger.
Too many Burmese Pythons live in the Everglades. According to Andrew Ng “Tens of thousands of Burmese Pythons are estimated to be living in the Everglades.” This explains that there are way too many pythons living in the Everglades and that it definitely needs to be taken care of.
TheBurmese Pythons have been putting other animals in danger. They have been doing this by eating the other animals that live in the Everglades. According to Matt Piven “Burmese Pythons are mainly carnivores and survive primarily on small birds and mammals.” This helps explain that since the Pythons are carnivores they will mainly feed on the other animals at the Everglades.
These Pythons are also putting human’s in danger. They are putting human’s in danger by making them have to try and kill all of them. According to Andrew Ng “This means that for 30 days, hundreds of people arrived with shotguns, rifles, machetes, handguns, and hooked spheres – many who have never even seen a Burmese Python – will roam the Florida Everglades in search of the coveted snakes. This explains that people that have never even seen a Burmese Python are hunting for them and could accidentally shoot someone if they are not careful enough.
This Python problem is also changing the ecosystem. It is changing the ecosystem because a lot of wild life is being killed. According to Andrew Ng “With no natural predators the pythons are wiping out large numbers of animals.” This explains how the ecosystem is getting changed cause it shows that the pythons are just eating whatever they can find as they have no natural predators in the Everglades.
In conclusion, these Burmese Pythons are making life very difficult for the people of Florida. They are killing and eating other animals which could be a food source, they are making tons of people travel to Florida(but anyways who doesn’t like Florida?), and they are ruining the ecosystem. They need to get rid of the Pythons and they need to do it fast.
Do you think people should have the right to claim territory in outer space? Have you ever put any thought into question? Well, many people want to claim territory in outer space right now.
I think it is absolutely pointless for people to have the right to claim land in outer space. So, to back that up I have found evidence that explains why it is pointless.
My first reason is that the Outer Space Treaty forbids anyone to claim territory in outer space. Science20.com says “That is a major issue since the Outer Space Treaty forbids it.” Therefore that is my first reason why people should not be able to own land in outer space.
My second reason is that space has no value for humans. Sciece20.com says “The actual land itself has almost no value for humans.” Therefore the land in outer space has no value for humans.
My last reason is that nothing can grow on the land in outer space. Science20.com says “There is nothing growing on it, and nothing can grow on it until you build on top of it.” Therefore there is nothing you can grow on the land in outer space.
The counterargument for this topic would be that people should be able to claim territory in outer space. Evidence to back that up is from Miami Herald who claims that ‘”There could eventually be tourism in space which could bring in a lot of money.” Therefore people should be able to claim territory in outer space.
In conclusion, I think people should not have the right to claim territory in Outer Space.
The tsunami of 2004 in Sumatra, Indonesia was a very devastating day for millions. The tsunami hit on December 26, 2004 without the city having any knowledge that a tsunami was going to hit. The city didn’t get a single warning or watch for a tsunami. Although the long term effects weren’t terrible, the short term effects were disastrous.
Many short term effects occurred after this terrible tsunami. One of them was that many people were killed, 13 million to be exact. Another short term effect was families were struggling to survive with no food, water, or shelter. So many families had to live in shelters. Then there was the long term effect. Smaller disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides kept occurring. But luckily UNICEF was kind enough to help out the city.
The city was pretty much gone, along with all of the food and water. So UNICEF provided them with all of that. The city was also pretty much gone, all of the buildings were destroyed. UNICEF gladly stepped in and helped rebuild the city. Even though the city was getting was getting remodeled, they still needed better preparedness for this kind of disaster.
This city just needs some sirens. The only sirens the city has are the neighboring city’s sirens, and their sirens didn’t go off. They also didn’t have the best evacuation plans. They could have a city meeting to go over the safest places to go and how to get there. They also need safe places to go during pop up disasters. They could put then in random spots throughout the city so everyone could get to one. The city could now with all of these things, could get back to their everyday lives.
The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami was very fearful and sad day but they didn’t let that bring them down. With everything mentioned above the city could be in tip top shape. The day of December 26, 2004 in Sumatra, Indonesia was very unforgettable.
